Justin P. Alexander


Justin P. Alexander joined Gordon & Schaal, LLP as a partner in October 2015. Mr. Alexander has been practicing law since 2013 providing counsel to individuals and businesses in the areas of bankruptcy, real estate, and general litigation. Mr. Alexander is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Alexander served as a legislative fellow for Congressman Ronald Barber (D-AZ) in the United States House of Representatives.

Mr. Alexander is fluent in American Sign Language and has lectured throughout Monroe County regarding the many legal issues facing the Deaf community. Mr. Alexander is an advocate for Deaf rights and routinely provides counsel to Deaf individuals and businesses. Mr. Alexander acquired his native fluency in American Sign Language as the child of a deaf parent.

Mr. Alexander received his Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. While at Temple University Beasley School of Law, Mr. Alexander was the recipient of the Law Faculty Scholarship and the Conwell Community Corps Fellowship. Additionally, Mr. Alexander worked as an intern to Judge Ellen H. Ceisler in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas.

Mr. Alexander received his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Alexander was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
