Deborah Kall Schaal


Deborah Kall Schaal is a partner at Gordon and Schaal LLP. She focuses her practice on bankruptcy law, representing creditors and debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters. She represents creditors in bankruptcy proceedings throughout New York State. Ms. Schaal also has an active real estate practice, assisting people buying and selling homes.

She is admitted to practice law in New York State, in the Bankruptcy Courts and Districts Courts in the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York, and in the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Ms. Schaal is a past co-chair of the Monroe County Bar Association’s bankruptcy committee, and a past board member of the Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys. 

She has lectured at numerous Continuing Legal Education seminars for the Monroe County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association on various bankruptcy topics. 

She received her bachelor’s degree in business management with distinction from Cornell University in 1988, and graduated cum laude from Cornell Law School in 1991. She lives in Rochester with her husband and 3 daughters.
